Consider the great increase in the size of the new outdoor deck area that will be available compared with the old Yacht Club. The entire area between the pool deck and the new Yacht Club will be the same paved deck material as the pool. We do not know as yet where the new Tiki bar will be located, not its size. Another issue for the Tiki bar is shade. The old layout put the Tiki bar in shade in late afternoon. The board should consider the Tiki bar location and place in an afternoon-shaded area if possible. The greatly enlarged deck area will also allow placement of many more tables outdoors. However, there seems to be some issue with tables/seats overall and county parking requirements. If OPA can't work out something with the county then all that deck space might not be usable for food/beverage service tables. |
