Description: Thought the fisherman would appreciate this 1035lb record Mako shark caught in Nova Scotia. After only a 15 minute fight the shark, hooked in the mouth, came up alongside the boat where a mate got a line around the tail. Then all hell broke loose as the shark took off and towed the 42' boat backwards at speeds up to 7 knots. This lasted for an hour with the shark jumping completely out of the water at times and the boat taking on water dangerously until the shark finally drowned. I think I will stick with Rockfish!
