Description: OCEAN PINES ANGLERS CLUB CATCHES THE HOLIDAY SPIRIT Last Christmas the Ocean Pines Anglers Club members decided that they could do better than having a member gift exchange and as a substitute members brought in huggables that were donated to the first responders who use them to calm children during traumatic events such as traffic accidents. This year the members were asked to bring in food stuffs to help provide for the homeless at the Diakonia transitional housing center in W. Ocean City. They also dipped into their treasury to purchase some turkeys and donated funds, including entry fees from a cancelled Rockfish Tournament, were added. In the end the donations amounted to more than a SUV filled with various food stuffs, 7 turkeys and over $200 in cash.
