Description: Mississippi Power Co's Kemper County Plant is nearing completion, and targeted for start up May 31, 2017. This project is designed to convert soft lignite coal mined at the site into a synthetic gas then burned in turbines generators. Kemper's carbon capture design is drawing interest from countries all over the globe.
