What a difference having someone with building experience investigate building option!

Kudos to Rakow and Clarke on their efforts.

I personally like option 3. I believe that if option 1 or 2 were employed, we would be again looking at further Community Hall options in the very near future, because we would eventually need more space. I would also hope that option 3 would not be another project that would grow in price as it was undertaken.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where:

Video will be available soon. Meantime here are the Community Hall options presented at yesterday's board meeting :

Maintain the existing facility $305,000 ??? -- includes roof repair, correct code violations, fire department stays. 7,830 SF of OPA space.
Complete Rehab of existing facility -$1.2 million to $1.6 million. Fire department moves out, new roof, new walls and siding, new mechanical systems, reconfigure offices and meeting space, new rest rooms and kitchen. 10,800 SF of space for OPA.
Build new Community Hall and tear down old - $2.2 million to $2.4 million. 14,000 to 16,000 SF of new space.
Build New Community Hall and maintain existing building -- Cost of item 3 and item 1 combined. Roughly $3 million.

I will be posting an image of the proposed structure as envisioned for items 2 and 3.
