These stories if true call for a sitdown meeting with the YC Management, Comptroller, Mr Olsen and the Board. The problems seem to get larger and larger and the Board should investigate New Years Eve, and the most recent incident. Maybe this is why nothing positive has happened over the last 12-13 years for correcting the problems. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Based on my source the food was provided at no charge to anyone -- except OPA lot owners. Keep in mind this was not a sit down dinner, however. In a more normal world the comping of some dinners through the year and the providing of some gratis hors d'oeuvres to groups would not be an issue. Unfortunately the YC is not in the normal world and a cloud of suspicion hangs over management as to the "reason" this is being done. Someone needs to get a handle on what is really going on. It amazes me, if true, that a sold out event like the New Years Eve bash would see comps in the area of 20 to 30%. There is nothing I enjoy more than treating another Ocean Pines resident to an open bar on New Years while we are sitting home. |
