Section 5: OPA Board Subject: GM Says NO to Courier Msg# 560384

My "evaluation" and I use that term loosely, is not a protected document by any means. An employees' evaluation is a protected document. It is not a matter of public record unless released by the employee themselves or the employee agrees to it being released. It's known as "Personal and Confidential" information. I presented copies of my written evaluation to the Board in my exit interview to simply make sure that BOTH parties were being fairly represented. Thus the reason your evaluation became public. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: If it's someone other than the employee herself, that someone has placed themselves in a potentially serious predicament. My "evaluation" and I use that term loosely, is not a protected document by any means. I presented copies of my written evaluation to the Board in my exit interview to simply make sure that BOTH parties were being fairly represented. The fact that people are labeling me as nothing but a disgruntled ex-employee, smoking gun, Joe Reynolds puppet, oh and my personal favorite "bug" is as laughable as the facts that are plain as day. I finally see the simplicity in the statement that seems to be a staple on this site...... YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP!!! There is no predicament that anyone has put themselves in unless you are one of the individuals that willingly chooses each day to be deceptive to the residents and BOD or even worse, to yourself. I secured that column in the Independent in attempt to give the GM a platform to better inform the residents of what was actually going on in OP in hopes to stomp out bad information that sometimes circulates prematurely. Information from their leader, their General Manager, not 2nd or 3rd hand party that sometimes botches facts that are notable or even crucial at times. Not everyone goes to the website, not everyone reads this forum but providing him with another significant medium to communicate to residents in mass quantity (10,000 in distribution, 7 of that 10 right here in OP residents driveways every Tuesday) was another avenue I felt needed to be explored, researched and secured. But in the end when notified that the space would be made available as long as no specific political message was expressed and the column would not turn itself into a platform of defense for the BOD or GM, I was told by Mr. Olson that he was not interested in being a columnist. Essentially he was right, I was not decisive enough. I did not act independently. I was a sheep and continued to drink the kool aid like everyone else, every day for 5 months. |
