Marty, I know you well enough to know that you are not suggesting that if one is not willing to run for the board of directors then they should not try to be involved. Quite to the contrary Marty, I applaud the apparent increase in interest in community affairs. In fact, I wish more people would delve into the operation of the association. Knowledge is power and the more people learn, the better their decisions will be, the greater their understanding of the operation. I was just musing that this increased interest should lead to an increase in candidates since, depending on the spines of the individual board members, that is where the power lies. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Ted: I know you well enough to know that you are not suggesting that if one is not willing to run for the board of directors then they should not try to be involved. Hell, if that was true you would be serving your sixth term. Right is right and wrong is wrong. The first priority for the space in our community hall is "board meetings". That said, there has been less then two regular monthly board meetings held in the new building. It may be as few as none. Why do you think that is? Marty |
