I know you well enough to know that you are not suggesting that if one is not willing to run for the board of directors then they should not try to be involved.

Quite to the contrary Marty, I applaud the apparent increase in interest in community affairs.  In fact, I wish more people would delve into the operation of the association.  Knowledge is power and the more people learn, the better their decisions will be, the greater their understanding of the operation. I was just musing that this increased interest should lead to an increase in candidates since, depending on the spines of the individual board members, that is where the power lies. If not that is fine too!
