But was told to "march forward or die"? That was a pretty good French Foreign Legion film. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The following was sent to me via email by someone named Glenn. Interesting how some folks take away what their bias dictates. I wonder if Bob Thompson will read my commentary and think I'm placing all the blame on Reinhart? Keep in mind there are still folks around who think Pudge Ruppert did a fantastic job. Joe, You have a cold heart and poor judgement. After nine years of faithful service Joe Reinhart gets two weeks severance pay and a kick in the pants from you. Bob Thompson gets a $40,000 raise. And your best observation is to say "despite the obvious financial failure of the current management by the GM and Joe Reinhart.". Why don't you just take some salt and pour it into the wound? Cold. Kick a man while his is down why don't you? Did you know that Reinhart begged the GM and the Board to close in the winter months to show a profit? Did you know that Reinhart was against the changes Thompson imposed because the increased labor negatively affected the bottom line? But was told to "march forward or die"? And you blame Reinhart? The guy who delivered the best financial year ever for the OPYC? You must have ice water running in your veins. Put the blame where it belongs - with the GM. His failed choices and his bad bottom line. Glenn PS Oh - and what about the 'on again - off again' decision by the BOD to renovate or demolish the OPYC? Did you knowt that because of the plans they forbid the Food and Beverage manager from scheduleing any weddings to allow for the renovations/demolition? Then five months and tens of thousands of lost dollars later they reversed their decision? You tie a guys hands behind his back and then attack him for 'failure to perform'? Cold. And you expect to hire other quality people with this dismal approach to managing people? Good luck. |
