Why does the "part timer" thing surface so much ? Is there a certain degree of prejudice lurking in our community ?
I don't believe there is ANY prejudice lurking in our community with regard to part timers. That reference in my post was about how to collect unpaid assessments only. In some cases, if dues are unpaid to OPA, IF the owner of the property has a primary residence in another place (part timer) or state, the primary residence could have a lien placed on that property. However, according to Marty, that is not possible as our documents state we can only affect property in Ocean Pines. It was, in my opinion, an alternative for collection. Linda |
