I am afraid that ship has already sailed. I am of the opinion that if the board does not make an honest attempt to lease out our golf facility to a third party who is a successful business person there will be a referendum to close the golf course. While I personally might believe that is a bad idea, it is not as bad as continuing to kick the can down the road.

I am afraid that if I was to start playing golf again tomorrow, and Ocean Pines was still being operated as it is today, I would not be considering it as a place where I would consider for membership. Sorry, sad but true.

Bill:I have not played golf at Ocean Pines for over 20 years, but, I agree with you when you say "I don't want to lose the Pines golf course". Please help me, and others who read tis forum, understand why you choose to play OCGC over Ocean Pines? It cannot be price since the cost for an individual member is lower now than it was in 2009. I hope it is not the conditions after all we have invested. The head professional for OCGC, who use to be our pro, has publicly endorsed the finished product. What would it take to get you back?

Hi Marty,

If the powers that be would only LISTEN to all the Ocean Pines golfers WHO ARE PLAYING AT OTHER COURSES..there could be hope for our golf course.

It appears from what has been written here that there ARE people playing golf....just not at HOME! The Fourm is a good place to hear from them and get them involved in figuring out what needs to be done.

I hope the BoD will try to involve those folks in making changes that would bring them back before a large group gets serious about closing the course.

You say you have not played in a very long time. What would it take to get you back?
