My Dad had a 79 Grand Am. He died in 1985 and I had occasions to drive it after he passed, and was surprised at how much attention it would get from car enthusiasts (my own car was an 83 LeCar which usually drew smirks). So perhaps he does indeed have a "gold mine" under the tarp. 
I do understand your frustration though! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The owner some years back told me the one with the flat tires was a Pontiac Gran Am of unknown vintage to me .... the other remains a mystery ! |
