For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: However if an individual resident has to contact the county .... Why have a Compliance department to begin with ? Well, I suppose it may depend if one wants to see the issue resolved or not. OPA has very limited enforcement compared to the county. OPA enforces OPA DRs, not county law. As I look at county law it seems to me the process for getting rid of junk cars is easier and faster than OPA's. Plus perhaps county inspectors can go on the property and examine the covered vehicles; OPA cannot. I'm not certain if legal, but if it is, I think CPI should be reporting these violations to the county as well as to the OPA board. |
