For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I have walked the vacant lot where I thought they might be nesting but have not found anything. I also rowed a section of bulkhead to see where they might be climbing in and out but to no avail. John Hi John, First, I want to send congratulations on the honor bestowed on your son. I know that your family is very proud of him. Second, if you do get a glimpse of the otters again, I would love to see the area where they live. I promise to tip-toe and be very quiet. Ssshh. I am hoping that the "Manklin Creek Otters" will find their way down the creek toward my family's home. The Patuxent Wildlife Center near Laurel has a HUGE otter display that is so realistic that one almost believes they are real.....BUT ...they aren't. Hope to see real ones sometime. Nancy |
