The fact that the humans cannot wait a few minutes while the ducks cross the street is a black eye to our community.
Tom, we do not know all the circumstances so why so quick to condemn the community? We don't even know if the driver was from Ocean Pines. All we know is someone says the goose was run over intentionally at the intersection of Manklin Creek Road and Route 589 and on 589. That place can be very busy. Seems to me there are accidents in that general area of Manklin Creek Road to Cathell Road on a number of occasions, some with personal injury. Never have I seen the concern for humans at the same level as the concern for this goose. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: One of the great features of living on the Eastern Shore, in Ocean Pines is the Wild Life, our little group of ducks are very special. The fact that the humans cannot wait a few minutes while the ducks cross the street is a black eye to our community. If you have a problem with the wild life, move to the City! The person who hit Martha and left should be fined and made to clean up duck poop! |
