Understand, unfortunately the VA system is socialized medicine, that is why I recommend Veterans retain their Medicare insurance. That gives you choices. I am so happy to have helped Veterans get what they disserve. I kind of work with the spouses in order to get these guys to come around. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Bill Thanks I have one more app't then a review of tests then to the VA for their determination. It will be interesting to see what they say. Veterans were waiting months on end for appointments, having to travel a long way to finally see a VA doctor. And they may still have to as there are only three in our area. Pocomoke, Cambridge and Dover. I do not believe the all offer the same services and of course the older one gets the more difficult it can be to drive long distances. Now, by law, if you have to wait 30 days for an appointment the VA sends you to an outside provider. This is great however one should not just accept the doctor they recommend. They should look up and see their reviews. I say this because they wanted me to see a Dr. for an exam and after I saw the reviews I told them no. They asked why and I said he had six reviews and they were all ones. They understood and provided a different doctor. |
