Joe, S&R would be a terrible location.. Even with wind screens it is too windy too much of the time.
Keep in mind the ball is a variation of a wiffle ball, very light & affected by the wind. At least at the Manklin complex, it is somewhat sheltered so does cut down the wind problem quite a bit. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Up in Del we have refurbished the underused tennis courts at the JC Clayton school & they are great to play on as long as the temperature is 50 or above & not too much wind. Perhaps just a rumor, but I've heard that the pickleball players were offered court space on the existing tennis courts over at Swim & Racquet Club and refused the offer. |
