He took his case to the State Attorney General
Actually it was the Consumer Protection Division of the AG's office. They have a office in Salisbury and typically always side with the HOA. Also note that regardless of what the CPD advises, theirs is only opinion, and that opinion cannot even be entered into evidence in any future court litigation. In other words, more or less useless. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I know George Coleburn has said if the board didn't set the rate in February there was no interest to collect, if that is what you mean. Not for the first time. He took his case to the State Attorney General back when I was President. The ruling was that if the budget was approved, the interest rate was approved. It is implied in the budget and does not need a separate standalone vote. |
