From: Peggy Turner I do not know of any rules that say you cannot have a retail business but OP is a residential community and you should not set up a retail shop in your front yard and sell the product. The DR's address that. Also parking a trailer of that type at your house is prohibited. Hi Peggy, You are right, the DR's are pretty clear on Home Occupations. People who give music lessons, do tax work or other office type jobs are ok because they do not draw a lot of traffic and cause parking problems, and there is no outside evidence that they have a business. A painter could work out of his house if his vehicle is not large, and all painting supplies and ladders are kept in a garage, for example. Large trailers are not allowed in a residential neighborhood. Nancy |
