That is a sweet car. Was this an actual production model? Reminds me of the BMW 507 from the same era

I had a friend in High School who had one. The doors slid into the fenders and rattled something awful on a brick road which what the streets around our HS were paved. kindof a dog when it comes to power but pretty sharp looking. You can read its short history
