Why even have bylaws or a Code of Conduct when they can be ignored with impunity for the sake of expediency?
Joe, I totally agree with you on this subject. Our DRs, corp charter, by-laws must be adhered to at all times, they are not optional. When a most important governing document starts getting violated, declaration of restrictions, an association has a rogue board. Unfortunately, when a feeling of apathy among homeowners exists the greater likelihood to have a rogue board. However, homeowners still have the ultimate power and can stop this kind of conduct. Have we reached a point where an action to remove "vote out" a board director(s) is justified / necessary? How about you run a poll with this question? Slobodan |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Shortcuts like making a false statement to a bank on a government loan application are now ok? I expect the bank asked for confirmation the board approved the loan prior to transfer of fund. What the bank received was a falsehood, plain and simple. Whoever said money was the root of all evil sure had it right. Unfortunate that some see $130 in their pocket as more important than the integrity of our HOA. Why even have bylaws or a Code of Conduct when they can be ignored with impunity for the sake of expediency? Your comment is just another way to say the end justifies the means |
