The Paris Climate Agreement was completed Dec 12, 2015 and adopted by 196 Parties at the COP21 conference. Since then reports have been emerging of countries which are still going wild in continuing to build new coal burning plants, and piling up their emissions at a fast rate.
China and India are mentioned as the worst cases. All such new coal plants are allowed by the agreement, with those countries merely making promises to begin leveling off emissions a decade or more later. Meanwhile countries like the US, UK, Germany & others are making the efforts, investing in renewables, shutting coal plants and are also sending in some big bucks to aid the cause. Here's some headlines after that December 2015. Revealing some shocking ways where nations are thumbing their noses at the agreement's central theme of cutting CO2.
