Thanks for asking. I've been the Pine Tones Chorus public relations guy for more than 20 Yrs. I'm snapping those photos, so not in them, myself. Also writing the news releases, publicizing concerts.
In the earlier yrs (pre-internet) I would travel around dropping off the news releases to local news editors, and OP's PR reps. Got to know editors & PR folks like Jim Adcock, Elaine Brady, Travatello, Rota Knott, Anna Foltz, etc. Much easier in recent yrs, when now its just done by emailing. In that photo you may recognize Dick Jacobs who lived on Watertown (second row), Les Munro who famously lived to age 108 (first row) , and Fr. Michael Moyer of St Paul's Episcopal (3rd row). All good friends & singing buddies for a bunch of years. I'm missing all those folks, as there's been no chorus or church choir due to Covid. But still singing duets in church every month, spaced out from fellow singers. Looking forward to when our Pine Tones Chorus concerts can resume. And seeing fellow singers as well as neighbors & friends in the audience. Hope to see some forum folks there, when the chorus is able to resume. |
