Section 23: OPA Elections Subject: A Questionable Alliance Msg# 1116651

I did put in one of my recent posts that I didn't support Diller or her husband; however I do support having more residents involved and informed on what goes on in OP. I appreciate the FB platform and am a member of other OP FB groups. Mrs. Diller has been nothing but kind and respectful to everyone in the group including those who didn't support her privatization efforts or support of Mr. Hill. I did not join the group based on who the FB administrator is. I think if Mrs. Diller's objective was to get her husband elected, I think only those who agree with her would be in the group and she certainly would not be asking others, including myself to run. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: As I originally wrote: "A local paper reports that former OPA employee Colby Phillips and former OPA board member Esther Diller have teamed up to create a social media group for the purpose of highlighting 'issues of communitywide concern' in Ocean Pines." I assume you are aware that Diller was elected to the Board of Directors in 2018 and then quit after about nine months. When Slobodan Trendic quit the board you were really on his case, even incorrectly accusing Trendic of supporting all the issues you had with Brett Hill as a board member and volunteer GM. I say incorrectly because Trendic was essentially the only board member who opposed much of what Hill did. The fun part, however, is what you wrote on 5/16/2020 to forum member Ken Koroknay. Your words were, "I believe if you are on the board and you quit...you quit. You shouldn't inject yourself, sue, try to run again, etc. Personally I would love to see that in our resolutions. It could read 'If you quit...go away.'" So you are now involved with a group organized to elect directors and influence OPA policy, a group organized by a board member who quit. Have you told Diller yet to just "go away?" This OPA Soap Opera is our most valuable amenity. |
