LOL. The person who sent me the email representing the election process was bias and as ridiculous as it seems, next time I'll change to Arial or Calibri font.
I was invited on the get involved group, believe the first week of March from her and another person via private message on an app we have in here, I was unsure what it was about. Yes, she spoke upon opening bell on the first zoom in March, disclosing her position that the group was for all us members to get involved stating she didn't care if her husband won a seat which sounded strange as he was one also. Why would one run if didn't care? Next zoom-pushed to join committees and apply as an applicant for the election, posted on group page the committee vacancies. I only went on 2 zooms, unsure if any more. She contacted me around the end of March when learned I was looking to apply as a candidate, saying something like she had an idea for me but never disclosed, then said worried no one was posting on the involved group and asked me to post something?? April 22nd she contacted me again and dropped the idea bomb on my head......... ....."So I have an idea she said, proceeded to say she didn't think OPA would be ready for a third woman on the board as it's never happened before. If I was good with it, would I consider being Rick Farr's campaign manager (of whom I do not know or never have met), that Stu and Rick would make a great team working with Doug & Tom??. Then said that way I could run next year and all their support from someone assisting them would go towards me when the BOD secretary would be leaving next year?? when I run. If I was good with it, go down to the admin building in the morning to withdraw my candidate application. Then the next night i would go over to her house for cocktails to meet Rick, proceed to the Veterans Wall ceremony for canvasing? (unsure if that happened, regardless not in my nature to do), then back to house to talk more about running Rick's campaign. I sent her a message next morning declining, indicating to her I am going to continue myself as an applicant. Shortly thereafter she sent both message and voice mail stating they would still give me support and could go with them for a meet and greet at the YC? Then messaged me when I didn't respond asking if I was upset with the night before call, that it was just a suggestion. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: >>>”You applied on a piece of paper with your signature. Please withdraw using the same method”?<<< The absurdity around here never fails to amaze me. Who sent you that? Can you share why you decided to withdraw. I am hearing rumors that Esther Diller urged you to withdraw because she thinks it would help her husband and Farr win and insure a new board majority with Parks and Janasek. Probably insuring GM Viola will not be around long. Also heard she was doubtful a woman could win this year and wanted you to campaign for Lakernick and Farr at The Wall That Heals ceremony Seems the opposite of her original statement about trying to get a lot of people involved and not supporting any one candidate, including her husband Stuart Lakernick. The dark side of OPA politics never ceases to amaze me |
