I think we need to understand and Lisa needs to clearly explain whatever intimidation/bullying she was feeling by anyone on the community in being a candidate. I sense some ugly politics.
Please, please tell me you realize this sort of stuff takes place during almost EVERY OPA board election. Asking someone not to run is not bullying or intimidation. Anyone who follows board politics should realize what is going on. Parks and Janasek see Esther's and Colby's Get Involved group as an opportunity to take control of the Board of Directors. They would like to see the team of Diller's husband Stuart Lakernick and Rick Farr elected to create that majority. The fewer candidates, the better e chance of Lackernick and/or Farr winning. This is no different than many other instances of board politics over the years. Lisa, and perhaps many others, are simply unaware of the sometimes hidden aspects of OPA board elections. To put it bluntly, many candidates are naive when it comes to OPA politics. I will guarantee you that board members are already scheming about who will be president next year based on who wins and loses. From my perspective, I don't like any of the possible outcomes. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I think we need to understand and Lisa needs to clearly explain whatever intimidation/bullying she was feeling by anyone on the community in being a candidate. I sense some ugly politics. |
