If you announced your candidacy, and I was eager to support you (not rhetorical), and made it clear to friends of my intentions, and, you then withdraw because a cabal of 'Finer Piners' talked you out of it, well, what would you expect me to think of your commitment from day one? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Asking someone to sit out so that an electable coalition can be put together for the current election season is actually smart politics. Happens all the time. Probably happened with Hillary/Biden campaign four years ago. |
