I have yet to hear anyone mention that few of us would have had little opportunity to earn anything without the support and guidance of caring loving parents.

We all have the the right to “pursue happiness” but we do not all start out in the same location in that pursuit. If life is a race far too many kids begin too far behind the starting line. Primarily as a result of the family they are born into, anecdotal otherwise success stories notwithstanding.
