These "unfortunate" people you refer to are working in the hospitality industry. Some of them work at the Berlin Nursing home for $12 an hour. Being broke is a temporary situation whereas being poor is a hole that is hard to climb out of. There is a difference. $12/hr @ Berlin Nursing Home ? Chik-fil-A is hiring at $15/hr and the Wine Rack at the Exxon Station on 50 & Golf Course is hiring at $18/hr. And even at that we have thousands of jobs going unfilled. |
