| The board or the committee did not see the 2020 December second report, given to Janasek when completed, until August 2021. Regardless, the board was obviously not even wondering where the report was. Marty was possibly making a mountain out of a mole hill but the board was not even aware of the second report mole hill. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I cannot believe that Perrone decided to kick this dead pile of leaves. You and I have privately debated this issue and come to some conclusions. Here were mine: the initial analysis was clearly suspect and it was understandable that it be withheld until a second one was quickly accomplished. What was not understandable was the fact that the Environmental Committee was not given access to the two reports until months later, if then. There were conflicting reports concerning whether the GM told the committee that it would not be shown to them. The chairman of the committee and certain members disagree on that important point. I've said from the beginning that a committee charged with environmental matters should not have some members charging that they were never told about the results of an important study. Either have a committee with the title charged with some responsibility or dissolve it. I suggested on this forum to Amy Peck, the new liaison, that she investigate what went wrong, if anything. Her response, as I recollect, that she was not going to spend any time on post mortems but that things were going to be so much better from this day forward. I guess I should thank Perrone for putting this subject back on the front burner. As Churchill once said of John Foster Dulles, "He's a bull who brings his own china shop". |
