Reynolds Grocery Store was at the corner of Cross and Carroll Streets. Miss Lil's place was right across Cross Street. She had a great selection of penny candy. Miss Lil treated my younger brother like a son. He was also very close with the Ziglers.

Elwood and Helen lived on Carroll and bought their brick house for $1875 in 1039..
