Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Disgraceful Vote on Lakernick Msg# 1153061

Horn seemed uncomfortable when it came to the committee votes. She took them one at a time rather than the traditional vote on all appointments because she obviously knew in advance there were votes against Lakernick.
Parks and Farr made little complaint of the vote result. They are biding their time until August when they expect to be in the majority, with Horn and Daly on the outside looking in with no influence. The current majority appears oblivious to the fact that they may be helping Parks and Farr take control. I love OPA politics. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It appears Horn did not vote and Perrone voted against - but again, the video is not definitive. The vote on several motions did not follow Roberts Rules, pertaining to the count: “All in favor, any opposed, any abstentions? In each instance, you take the count and announce the result. I think there were abstentions. This will be reflected in the official meeting minutes. There is an alternate provision in Roberts Rules to call a vote and I used it routinely as Parke President. “Are there any nays or abstentions? As there are none, motion is approved by General Consent”. Tom |
