Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Disgraceful Vote on Lakernick Msg# 1153054

Joe as you know side conversations by and between board members are common and can be productive, effective if well intended and if conducted properly. Unfortunately how this Board handled Lakernick's application is troublesome, Frank's vote in particular. I am trying to be diplomatic with my caracterizacion of what occured. Unfortunately many side conversation by the board members cause trouble, marginalized others, lead to bad decisions and create dysfunctional, rogue boards. We have witnessed this happen here over and over again. Now I go back to watching BBC News

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: >>>The sad thing is this vote was almost certainly agreed to before the meeting, behind closed doors, and in defiance of the intent of Title 11B.<<< Any three board members can discuss any OPA business anytime they choose. As for the basic charge you make, the same could be said for probably every board vote. Everything takes place via email these days and for at least a decade. 11b intent or no 11b Intent. Proving such a charge is virtually impossible. |
