Section 5: OPA Board Subject: Disgraceful Vote on Lakernick Msg# 1153112

I believe Mr. Reynolds pointed out my vote either way would not have made a difference as it was 4-2-1.
That is not correct. I pointed out the vote, as announced by President Horn, was 3-2-2. If you had voted YES it would have been a tie and Lakernick's appointment would still have failed - thus my comment about no difference. He would have needed a YES vote from both you and Horn to be appointed. I'd say it is obvious that neither you nor Horn was particularly anxious to see Lakernick appointed. I made the decision to remain neutral as I am Liaison to the committee in question. Do you really expect association members to believe your statement above? I could have rejected the application. Not sure what you mean by the above. However, the endorsement or non-endorsement of a board liaison is not a deciding factor. An influencing factor, perhaps, but not deciding. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Your belief is wrong. I could have rejected the application. I believe Mr. Reynolds pointed out my vote either way would not have made a difference as it was 4-2-1. I made the decision to remain neutral as I am Liaison to the committee in question. |
