I agree and think Josette did the right thing by filing a police report and asking for a restraining order, as that is the best way to deal with that type of situation. The board hired Matt Ortt to manage the OPA clubs, so if the board feels a decision to not ban someone was wrong the board should take it up with Matt Ortt. I feel it's a bad precedent to set for the board to ban members as there are other remedies, which Josette was, and anyone else is, able to use. It keeps any of issue of bias out regardless of the egregiousness of any incident. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Joe, Based on the police report, Mr. Janesek was clearly out of line. Even worse he was menacing. No one; not board member, not staff members, not community member should be subjected to that type of behavior. It is clear to me this individual has a severe alcohol problem. People with alcohol abuse disorder or just plain major irritability factor don't change their behavior unless there are consequences. There must be consequences for this individual. |
