Kenneth, thanks for posting.
I agree, OPA would be very clear. I also think many association members don’t pay close attention. As for the “board strongly supports” line, I will have to check but I think the bylaws require some such statement of board position pro or con. As for the mailing, what I do not understand is why it was not simply shown as coming from the candidates. Why say it came from some Facebook group and not mention the name of the founder of the group, who happens to be the spouse of one of the candidates? Was there a group vote to support two candidates? Was there fund raising? What on earth was to be gained by saying it came from the group? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: You suggest some people may think the return address gives the impression it may be from the OPA? Perhaps I am changing the subject, but I think the OPA would be very clear if they did support anything. As an example I felt the board didn't think I had the intelligence to read the suggested By-Law changes and make up my own mind without "the board strongly supports this change" Since this is my first post, please let me know if I was completely off key. |
