At the risk of continuing this conversation, there is no end run around county zoning regs. No recommendation has been made regarding where any other signs will be posted (and the Board would have to approve of additional signs). To the best of my knowledge there is no metric as to what constitutes successful sign usage. It seems to me the signs we have, whether manually displayed or electronically are in the mix of how OP residents learn about what is going on in the community. Hope this helps. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: The Committee (I believe on instructions from the Board) has obtained a quote to retrofitting the sign at the North Gate Entrance. I expect these issues will be discussed at Saturday's meeting, but the issue of concern to the County was the installation of signs on the medians that run on Ocean Parkway (among other byways). This sounds like an attempted end run around the County zoning. Where would these additional electronic signs be placed if this one is deemed successful? Who determines if successful? This is a total waste of money but committees have to do something I suppose. |
