Ortt also ended the first paragraph by saying DeAngelus was a ‘member’ of Matt Ortt Companies. Interesting. Member. Technically true but not completely true. Thought about it in the weeks and months following (suuuuuure) but didn’t do anything until now. Nothing other than public outcry has changed. Makes this a business move. Didn’t have to look too hard to find that. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Various Facebook groups seeking justice for Gavin Knupp have become much more active of late. Over the past weekend, hundreds of posts began appearing on various internet locations, including the Ocean Pines Facebook page for the Yacht Club, with rather disgusting remarks about the food and/or service. An internet petition site hosting a petition for Ocean Pines Association to stop doing business with Matt Ortt Companies drew 2500 or so signatures in a short period of time. Whether this "divestment and removal" of DeAngelus will satisfy those seeking justice for Gavin Knupp with regard to Matt Ortt Companies' operations in Ocean Pines remains to be seen. |
