I’m a fan of letting cops do their jobs. The few cops I know (a few of them retired) who I have asked about this all said basically the same thing… these types of investigations take a long time. Your observation regarding trivia night notwithstanding, I’d wager either Ortt isn’t doing the numbers he thinks he should be doing, or he thinks that sometime soon the horrible press and the aggressive community response to him and DeAngelus will have negative impact on his business in the near term. Either way, his sudden apology just reeks of a flailing attempt at self-preservation. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It seems to be working What is working to bring justice? The Yacht Club has been mobbed with locals on trivia night. My concern is the lack of progress by state investigators. Perhaps that is where any outrage should be directed but all I hear is a call for patience. |
