For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Several years ago I was fishing the bay and drifting down near day mark #2, they have a nest on top of the day mark, mommy was with the chick while daddy was out looking for lunch. A gull started to hover over the nest looking for a chance to grab the chick, daddy came home and dove from about 200 feet, hit the gull with his talons. The gull stayed for lunch, in fact, he was lunch!
