When we see this type of behavior, ugliness and bullying among adults on social media is it any wonder or surprise that young teens sometimes resort to suicide. Really a sad reflection on all that take part. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: we all know that’s the correct forum to present grievances. Debbie, what I find most interesting about this entire debate is those who support the Get Involved Facebook page see Peck as the Devil with absolute certainty. Those who support the ROC page see Peck as the good guy. Facebook Wars are alive and well. Whatever one thinks of Peck, she came within a dozen votes of being elected to the board of directors in an election where all the votes were not counted. The current board majority enjoys their majority due to the Get Involved Facebook group in an election decided on the basis of those dozen votes and perhaps the uncounted votes. I suggest the extreme dislike we see expressed toward Peck represents a rather small percentage of association members. I find it difficult to understand the personal, vituperative attacks on Peck. What do you and others hope to gain? One might think that the disgusting way Get Involved's Stuart Lakernick was treated by the prior board majority would lead to a more magnanimous view of those who disagree with the new majority. Sadly, the opposite seems to be happening. Peck checking customers at the Yacht Club pool would not be doomsday for OPA. From February 2022: |
