We think they're working. Public Works said they've had a lot less algae since they were installed, compared to some of the other ponds.
Interesting. Research indicates it takes 60-70% shade coverage on ponds to really reduce algae growth. I have seen no data indicating a small rectangle would do much on a pond like around the north gate. Feels good, though.
