Unfortunately, part-timers are not looking at the doors of buildings to learn about the change. If they made note of the meeting, it was from receiving the Summer 2023 newsletter and the ballot notice both of which have the wrong location. The "This Week in the Pines" email sent out Monday blast certainly does not fulfill the By-law requirements for notice of meetings. How much extra is being spent on advertising in local media (which again part-timers are unlikely to see)?
Indeed. There are many "hiccups" with the current election and meeting notification. The devil is always in the details and OPA has been detail-absent lately, including last year when Horn was president and you were a board member. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: According to the OPA Facebook page: "We apologize for the change. This was sent to local media today, and also posted on the OPA website. We will also be doing flyers on the doors of the admin building, Clubhouse, and Assateague Room, and advertising in local media. The location was correct in the Monday direct email to more than 9,000 people. Community signs have been updated."
