Is lot number the same as house number?
No. There are maps around, if I remember correctly, that identify each lot in each section. Sections are easy to find. When we first moved to OP, the section/lot number was the mailing address! It appears OPA wants to make it as difficult as possible to find the properties. I believe one association member was attacked for posting the list to Facebook with the street addresses, a direct copy from the OPA website. Then the board apparently directed that street numbers not be included. No big deal to look it up if one is interested. I believe the list had a dozen or so trash can violations. There are probably at least 1000. Trash cans sitting all the time at the front of homes (not at the street) make the place look trashy. There is no balance or common sense. For example, a missing street number does not harm property values. Six trash cans constantly at the front of a garage door may well harm property values. Regardless, things are better with the ARC/ECC committee now than years ago. I recall a committee member asking a woman why her roof height had to be 2 inches over the max. And then there was the case where a committee member kept badgering a woman about why she needed such a big house because she wanted a slit break on lot coverage. She finally said she had six children. |
