I do understand what your comments have to say and compare with in JFK’s Book. The political challenges and courage in decisions were surmountable. This is not to say we can’t take our BOA and compare their challenge of new vendors to courage and valor, bravery- used in this book As you have.
I just believe it’s a bit- overestimated when you used this premise for your commentary. This, of course, is your prerogative. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I would never put JFK’s ‘Profiles in Courage’ next to a board decision. I did not do what you accuse me of doing. Whatever happened to reading comprehension? Read what I wrote. I specifically stated some board decision was not like the senate profiles in courage Kennedy wrote about. What I said was it took courage for the board to take an action that was the right thing to do even if not popular with many association members. That is the basic premise of the book. I have to wonder if those commenting understand the basic premise behind Kennedy’s thinking. Profiles in Courage can be found at every level of elected politics. I have to wonder who actually read and understood the premise of Kennedy’s book and how it applies to every level of political office. |
