As a side issue, I recall a Pennsylvania driver reporting hardly any turbines spinning, while driving by wind farms. Hmmn. Meager power being produced.
There's a bunch of negatives in the cash flow argument. Losses in the sports fishing industry here, as well as the commercial fishing represents a substantial amount of cash evaporating. Then there's the declines in tourism, lodging, restaurants, and real estate. That's another large negative cash flow to consider. Putting them 26 miles offshore instead of 10.7 miles would do much to mitigate the tourism side of problems. And if the national political leadership changes, who knows . . . . . . The nation's land fills /refuse disposals/ are already challenged by green-related problems of old windmill blades, old solar panels, and forth coming old EV batteries accumulating. Also those wind turbines have about half the life span of traditional power plants, and are going out of service in 20 years. Image Title: Broken wind turbine blades |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Trust me, they will go up! When the jobs start employing locals and the cash begins to flow everybody will stop focusing on the view and start focusing on how to get more of the cash! It's the "American Way"! |
