It sounds to me that TOI made the pledge to step in when the old contract expires. Ortt has a contract to continue doing what they do until it expires. | ||||||

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It would be in OP’s best interest to keep the YC closed until TOI is ready to open the doors. Give the Ortt group their last $75,000. and be done. TOI will need at least 3 months to get everything set up and ready to go. Without access to the facility for changes, they might not be able to start until July. That would be huge losses for all involved. $75,000 is a lot of money for doing nothing but it is a lot less than the losses that will be incurred due to a delay in opening. It is in the best interest of the homeowners and TOI to be given the 3 months of closure to be able to have a successful Memorial Day opening and financially successful summer. A restaurant can’t just change hands and open again the next day and be successful. The GM and board need to reconsider their decision to reopen in February. |
