I have not looked unto this proposed legislation yet but the petition had one letter sender. Is that you? You do not reference the actual proposed legislation wording.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Worcester County wants to make it a crime to sleep outside. Instead of helping people without homes, this law would punish them, making life even harder. A ticket turns into a criminal record, making it almost impossible to get a job or a place to live. That’s not a solution, it’s a trap. Only 31 people were found without shelter in 2024. That’s a problem we can solve with housing, mental health care, and community support—not arrests. We should be lifting people up, not pushing them further down. Your voice matters. Tell the county to invest in real solutions instead of treating homelessness like a crime.
