Who appoints that committee that has been meeting to protect OP interests?
The Worcester County Commissioners. The committee was established back around 2002 when the County took ownership of the plant from the then county Water and Sewer "Commission" headed by Colonel Connell. I was among the very first members appointed by then commissioner president Sonny Bloxom at public hearing held at Showell Elementary. I gave up the position that same night so that local builders could have a representative. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Good points which you and I have made repeatedly. And I made them in my earlier post. The OP plant was bought and paid for by OP residents. If the excess capacity is to be used by other systems (or the lack thereof), the revenues should be used to pay back OP residents or reduce regular bills. Who appoints that committee that has been meeting to protect OP interests? |
