Your focus on Moore set the discussion off on a tangent. The issue of what Chip wrote was county taxes. Apparently, due to increased assessments the county is collecting a lot more money and every department is lining up to get it and increase their budget,’
Moore was not the focus of Chip’s writing. Reducing county taxes was, and not one person addressed that issue. I guess everyone is happy with their county taxes and Chip is wasting his tine trying to get them lowered. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It’s very possible Governor Moore and the legislature will balance the state budget on the backs of local taxpayers by shifting to county jurisdictions financial burdens that are, at their core, unfunded mandates which for Worcester County taxpayers could equate to millions of dollars. Governor Moore whose name is often mentioned among Democrats on a short list of politicians who are potential future presidential candidates has been checking off liberal policies he can tout in the future. The unbridled support of the current offshore wind farm project even in the face of eliminating our commercial fishing industry. Many projects are under the radar or conveniently pushed into the future. Latest example was the recent, put on hold due to exorbitant cost, Blueprint for Education. Here is what we are facing for our VehicleRegistrations A recent article in OC/Dispatch interviewed a maintenance man for one of the condo buildings about the mandatory requirement by 2030 to convert their boilers from gas to electric. He stated the cost to do so would be astronomical! We live in a state listed as one of the worst in the country for small business with a deficit in excess of 3 billion dollars and leadership working to make Maryland the California of the East coast. |
